Taitaja2013 on 14 - 16 May 2013 in Joensuu

The Finnish National Skills Competition Taitaja is the biggest annual event for vocational students in Finland. In 2013 it is held in Joensuu Areena on 14 -16 May 2013. Approximately 35,000 people are expected to visit the event.

There will be 500 students competing in the competition of the Taitaja-event. The audience can follow the competition of vocational students and thus familiarize themselves with the different career and education options. In this event, firms will meet the young talents, who may become their future employees, and the young people will receive support for their choice of a career.

The theme of the event is “The joy of skills!”.

In the Finnish National Skills Competition 400 young people from 40 competition categories will compete for the Finnish championships in their own areas. At the same time there will be arranged TaitajaPLUS competition for students with special needs and Taitaja9 competition where 100 9th graders of upper comprehensive schools compete in craftsmanship.

Taitaja2013 event in Joensuu will be arranged by the North Karelia Municipal Education and Training Consortium with its cooperation partners. Skills Finland acts as a background organization. There is free admission to the event.
